I have completed a Steller's jay and Blue jay.

Bottega Christmas show 2016

Just a reminder, that the Bottega Christmas show is on November 26th and 27.
 From 11am to 5pm each day . I am in the main hall and I have been working
hard to bring lots of new items to this year's show.

 The show was a big success , I sold three Santas and two Hummingbirds,
and many art cards........Thankyou to all who stopped to view my art.

On display at Lee Valley tool store

Lee Valley in Kelowna B.C. is displaying 6 sculptures.They have asked
me to teach some basic carving workshops in winter 2017. Very kind
of them to give me this opportunity.

Unpainted California Quail was purchased, but customer wanted it painted.

Bird made from Soap Stone.

Carving Soapstone is fun and easy.

The material is soft; once you 

achieve your shape, start sanding with

different papers. Finish with polyurethane.

Repair of California Quail

Broken top knot of Quail.

This Quail looks much happier with his top knot restored.

Repairing a broken bird.

Feet and corner broken off of tail.

I carved a larger block of wood.

New wood glued into place.

Repair is painted and is good as new.

Ready for happy owner to pick up.

Gold finches have a new lease of life and proud owner is very pleased.
